Northern Trust Bank
Creative Cabinets was commissioned to design, build, and install an elaborate system of mahogany millwork in this new high-end bank branch. Work included a three-station, sit-down teller line with a granite top; six highly custom mahogany executive desks for high-ranking bank personnel; a dozen columns plus office door and window frames flanking a hallway; twelve built-in mahogany desks, file drawers, and veneer partitions in a bullpen-type work area; radius crown moulding in the lobby; an elaborate entryway combining marble corners with mahogany moulding; and a one-of-a-kind check-writing stand which incorporates both calculators and writing instruments. Plastic laminate was used only in areas not visible to the public, and included a 30' wall of file drawers in a large file room and cabinets in an employee break room.
